Privacy Policy — Ashaf red light
Last updated: 2025-09-15
This Privacy Policy explains how Ashaf red light (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App.
The App is a wellness/training simulator. It is not a medical device and is not intended for diagnosis or treatment.
1) What data we collect
We aim to collect the minimum necessary information.
a) Data you provide
-
Initial survey inputs (optional): lens prescription values, self-rated vision clarity, and blur-distance test results. These are stored locally on your device.
-
Contrast test results (optional): stored locally on your device.
By default, these values are kept on-device. If you explicitly consent in the in-app consent dialog, anonymous usage metrics may be sent to our analytics backend (see “Analytics” below). We do not collect names, email, phone number, or other direct identifiers.
b) Automatic data (SDKs)
-
Analytics events (anonymous, only if you opt-in): session length, feature usage (e.g., tests completed), and progress summaries without personal identifiers.
-
Advertising (AdMob): may collect an Advertising ID (on Android) and other device/usage signals for fraud prevention, frequency capping, and ad delivery.
-
Notifications: if you enable reminders, we schedule local notifications at times you choose. The schedule itself is stored on-device.
2) How we use data
-
Provide core features (saving your progress locally).
-
Improve the App (aggregate, anonymous analytics if you opted-in).
-
Show ads (via AdMob).
We do not sell your personal information.
3) Legal bases (EEA/UK)
-
Consent: analytics and personalized/non-personalized ads where required.
-
Legitimate interests: app functionality (e.g., saving to local storage), security, fraud prevention.
4) Sharing
We may share limited data with service providers strictly to operate the App:
-
Google AdMob (ads)
-
Firebase (analytics/telemetry, only if you opted-in)
These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
Partner policies:
-
AdMob / Google Mobile Ads: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
5) Ads & choices
-
You can disable or reset the Advertising ID in your device settings.
-
In regions that require consent (e.g., EEA/UK), we display a consent prompt (Google UMP). You can update your ad preferences in the App’s consent screen (if provided) or your device settings.
6) Analytics & choices
-
Analytics collection is off by default and enabled only if you consent in-app.
-
You can withdraw consent at any time in the App (we will stop sending analytics events going forward).
7) Data retention
-
On-device records (progress, tests): stored until you delete the App data or uninstall.
-
Telemetry (if opted-in): retained only as long as needed for analytics and product improvement, then aggregated or deleted.
8) Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
9) Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has used the App and provided data, contact us to remove it.
10) International transfers
Our providers may process data on servers outside your country. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) provided by our processors.
11) Changes
We may update this Policy. We will post the “Last updated” date and, where required, notify you in-app.
